Sized to your space, pitched to your sun
An awning is only as good as what it's bolted to. As the contractor, we verify the mounting structure before we quote, reinforce it if it needs it, and anchor the system correctly the first time. Then we set the pitch to your space — the angle is adjusted to the sun you actually get and the headroom you actually want, because the shade lands in a different place at four in the afternoon than it does at noon. A stock pitch off a truck is a guess at both.
Sunbrella fabric, and what it survives
Sunbrella is solution-dyed acrylic: the color goes into the fibre before it is woven rather than being printed onto the surface, so sun does not fade it out and a spill does not become permanent. You can clean it with bleach. Not a mild bleach solution, not carefully — actual household bleach, on the fabric, without damaging the color or the weave. Mildew, sunscreen, red wine, and whatever the birds contribute all come out, which matters more in this climate than any brochure specification.

Every awning we install includes a wireless wind sensor at no extra charge — not an upgrade, not a line item. Past a threshold you set, it retracts itself, whether you are home or not, which is what stops a gust from turning a fabric awning into an expensive repair. Add smart-home integration and it answers to your phone, a schedule, or your voice, alongside the rest of the house. The awning takes care of itself so you do not have to watch the sky.

Every awning ships with a wireless wind sensor, included at no charge. Past a set threshold, it retracts automatically — even if you're not home.
How do I clean the fabric?

Brush the loose dirt off, hose it down, and let it dry. For anything that has set in — mildew, sunscreen, bird mess, spilled wine — Sunbrella takes a bleach solution without losing its color, because the color is in the fibre rather than printed on top. Rinse it thoroughly afterwards and let it air dry rather than putting it away damp.
